An issue of liberty that I think is often overlooked is the freedom to do as we please with items of our own property that we have legitimately purchased. The technology industry is rampant with abuses of this type of freedom. Corporations are always trying to stomp on our rights to 'fair use' by telling us what we may or may not do with their piece of hardware. Well, guess what? We bought it. Now it's ours. To do with as we please.
